Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) with Dani

I am a trained, skilled, and experienced faciliator of altered states of consciousness and this is my passion and focus in my professional endeavors. Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy is a treatment that combines well-researched use of oral ketamine dosing and psychotherapy. It is adminstered in my clinic's KAP room during dosing sessions after we have established a good working relationship with one another. KAP is a series of treatments that is usually broken down into the following sequence:

1. 3-8 preparation sessions. These are normal therapy sessions.

2. Dosing Sessions on Thursdays or Fridays every other week for 6-8 sessions.

3. 1-3 integration sessions between each dose session and after the last one to help you make sense of your experience and maximize the ketamine's effectiveness. 

Most participants feel anywhere from relaxed to a pleasant sensation. Because it is a dissociative anesthetic, it can bring about a feeling of being a bit disconnected from your body (body cues like pain and where your body and limbs are without seeing them decrease). It is a similar feeling to just after a sedation or general anesthesia is adminstered before surgery (ketamine is often administered during anesthesia along with other substances!). Just like any medication, experiences can vary and there is always a chance that the sensation of being under the influence of ketamine can be unpleasant -- our preparation sessions helps to reduce that risk as mich as possible.
