My Approaches to Healing
I hold my containers of healing as a sacred space for you to explore your inner world that drives you through this life. I serve as your guide into various states of introspection, intuition, and wholesome connection with all of your parts. I extensively use ego-state and parts work approach (akin to Internal Family Systems), somatic mindfulness-based exercises and skills, EMDR both with standard protocols and as a tool to access expanded states of consciousness, Creative Expression like art, music, and writing, and movement to accommodate each client's unique needs. I am very open to approaches that we co-create based off your own strengths and passions; it is one of my specialities to incorporate what works for you into a healing / therapeutic process.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
My specialty is using KAP, a well researched modality that includes the use of ketamine in session to induce a mild psychedelic state useful for "unsticking" yourself. KAP with me is partially covered by any insurance I accept.
About My Practice
For therapy-based services, I am able to accept Highmark (Most Blue Cross / Blue Shield plans), UPMC, and Aetna (Medical Assistance plans do not accept my services). Right now I am mostly virtual, but will be adding in-person slots soon in Allentown (Pittsburgh neighborhood). My sessions run during the day Tuesdays through Thursdays with Thursday afternoons and Fridays reserved for KAP / psychedelic-assisted sessions.

Ketamine is a relatively safe compound that was first extensively used in the Vietnam War as anesthesia because of its minimal effect on the cardiovascular system. Since then our medical science community has found that ketamine, when used in conjunction with psychotherapy in a proper environment, has great healing potential.
I offer ketamine-assisted therapy to those who are qualified. In a nutshell, after determining psychological appropriateness, you are refered out to a medical provider who medically screens you and then prescribes the ketamine. We then do several preparation sessions, dose sessions, and integration sessions. Though not a classic psychedelic, ketamine has mind-expanding properties, with the possibility of profound changes. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy through me is partially covered by insurance. I have extensive experience working wth psychedelics and this is my true passion in terms of healing :)
Yes, as a member of the queer community myself, Sacred Light Journeys embraces you. We have our unique experiences in our queer identities and I strive to learn your individual identities and expressions and the challenges and wonder they bring to your life.
I have an affinity to working with neurodivergence. I don't "treat" neurodivergence, I work with clients to understand their beautiful and challenging brains and I operate under the premise that living in this society as a neurodivergent is inherently traumatizing . By working through these traumas that often accumulate starting in childhood, we work to increase function and align your practiced values and engagements with society in an authentic manner.
In general, I see what we call "symptoms" as warning signs from our body and minds that we need to pay attention and take care of something in our lives. Overall, my specialty resides in helping you deconflict inner turmoil to increase peace, nervous system regulation, and embody an authentic presence that works for you and I help you express this authenticity in a way that considers you in the context of your environment. I help you find and embrace your sacred light.

I operate under the theoretical framework of Psychosynthesis which is inherently spiritual in a secular sense. We do not have to directly talk about spirituality; this framework is largely a means by which I carry myself in the therapy room and less of something I teach you or bring up explicitly (unless you want to!).

I am a licensed clinician that offers therapy services under supervision. This website serves this aspect of my offerings as well as my non-therapy services that are offered indepedently, outside of supervision. I specialize in offering support for expanded states of consciousness / psychedelic states. Often times, a diagnosable condition accompanies these experiences and can be processed in therapy under insurance. Inquire within!
